After a long Songpull break our group was gathering again to stake a claim in all that we had accomplished in the last year and a half. We were still excited about the outcome of our first ever National Songpull held right here in Springfield Mo. in June of 2007. Having learned so much about all the things that can happen in a Songpull that are so unexpected, we knew that a re-start only meant getting the spirit all stirred up again. Therefore, the pullers and the watchers were few. But, that didn't matter to us. We were on a mission to continue being Songpull leaders. And in that spirit, newcomer, Megan sang a wonderful song that her father wrote years ago before his passing. What a powerful story! At 6 years old, Elvis came very close to stealing the show with his Pirate Song. All in all, Springfield Songpull 14 was more low key than what we were used to, but also reminded us of the good ol days before the crowds got so big. It was kind of a nice change.
