I was worried about this Songpull. It just happened to fall on the same date as a John McCutcheon concert. (Many songwriters in town go to his concerts.) AND my buddy who handles the recording to the laptop for us at the Songpull, Jim Herrmann, was opening for John. My co-host, Kaye Johnston, was at band practice. She handles the greeting, signups, interview and performance order, and timing for the whole night. But both Rick Malsick and Erik Karlsson came and helped the whole night, as did James Mattingly. So we got it all covered. We had some new people and a good crowd. I included a bit of the song circles that follow our Songpull. We stick around and play our favorite original songs all evening for the coffeehouse crowd. The interviews have an interesting flavor since the downstairs theater had an R&B concert also that night. We checked to see if the door was closed and it was. What you hear in the background was coming through the wall. (Man we could FEEL it. Yeah, Baby.)
