Songpull 6

Located in Springfield, MO. Directed by Daniel Fritz

By far, our biggest Songpull. We ended up having 18 pullers! This is so exciting to see Songpull grow so fast and to find so many people, seasoned or unseasoned, interested and even excited to come and share what they've got. You'll notice that every single song is an official Songpull 30 day song. Jason Gaylor had decided to take his writing somewhere that he had never gone before and good thing that he did. He pulled out the first Songpull performance with a banjo AND strummed his way right into the Songpull Hall of Fame (which doesn't exist yet...but) with a great song, "Baby Don't Bump My Banjo". I wrote a song called "Shove" which has been the most requested song that I've ever written. It was very interesting to watch all of the pullers in the backyard, before things got started. This began happening a couple of Songpulls sooner than this, but it was becoming inspirational to watch everyone working together and helping out on small parts here and there. There would be a group behind a bush or gathered under a tree, playing thru parts and trying choruses or solos over and over. Co-writing was happening everywhere. Sometimes, it was simply to get something done and most of those times, that something turned into something great. Marla Fritz's "Hold My Hand" was one of these.
