This month we had 9 new songs. I forgot to confirm our date for our usual venue for December. So we had to find a new venue quickly that was not booked for the third Friday in December. Luckily, Harry Hewlett had been hosting a songwriter’s night at Foo’s Fabulous Frozen Custard and helped us set up the event with them. Thanks to Jeff and Dennis for helping us out. Foo’s is a very family-friendly place, with great ice cream and coffee, so you can hear the happy anticipation of young voices in the background from time to time. The adults were on their laptops and the kids drew on the oversized chalkboard on the wall. I was amazed that even with a change in venue and a busy time of year, we still had a bunch of new songs and a few people who came to listen even though they didn’t have a 30 day song.
