Songpull 21
Located in Kansas City, MO. Directed by David Hakan
This month we had a lot of our regulars out of town for the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival. A special thanks to James Mattingly for running sound and the recording for the Songpull. We started on time and wrapped up before it got too late. Jack Snaps created a Kansas City Songpull first with his use of “props” for his childrens songs. Let’s blur the lines between performing songwriter and actor/clown. Too much fun. We got a nice article about the Songpull from a reporter in the paper because of the Song Challenge for September, That Way Madness Lies…bring a new song that deals with mental illness or just plain craziness. This reporter was interested in the fact that we put out a song challenge every month. He was surprised to learn that we had over 200 new song videos up on the Songpull.com website. (So were we!) Visit www.SongwritersCircle.org for more Song Challenges.
