This month I got to the Westport Coffee House with plenty of time to set up. We also had reserved the back room for interviews. Just in case. But when I started interviews at 6:30 pm we only had about 7 songs on the list for that evening. Then as I did interviews, more and more people came to the back room for interviews…with more than one song…till there was a line forming of people waiting for their interviews. I went back to the main room and looked at the list. We had 19 new songs and four first-time Songpullers. Jack Snaps created a Songpull first with his use of “interpretive dance” for 7-year-olds from the lovely Rainbow Stars. I had NO IDEA how to film this. I hope people like the end result. We had software glitches on the recordings again. Our equipment is getting older fast. (Aren’t we all.)
