At this point, Springfield Songpull has got to the point where we are just enjoying each others companty and music. The push to continue writing song is still at the top of the Songpull list, but getting together and requesting already performed Songpull songs (which we dubbed "Encore") happens more and more, the longer Songpull keeps going on. There are a lot of songs on the site now and some of them stand out more than others, but the goal has never been to have every single song be a hit single for someone. The goal has been more to just allow anyone to "Get Their Song Out There". But, it's been fascinating to follow the development of certain songs. The Encores are performances that change everytime they happen. Songwriters are working on them thru the year and using their performances as a way to figure out what people like and don't like. So when you hear an Encore, it's fun to go find the original performance and hear how it's changed. Also, Matt Long's "Saviour" is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.
