The song itself is far from the “perfect song.” I use the term “perfect sound” as a metaphor for the perfect, ideal relationship, with no hesitation. This song is basically about the lack of this ideal, and dealing with not being able to find it.

I loathe those who hold themselves as more valuable than anyone else. I wish I could make a difference in the world, and I hope everyone else feels the same way...Oh yeah, and a dude who often wears pants.
