I was reading a short biography of Deitrich Bonhoeffer and saw that he was an accomplished scholar in his twenties. This song is about having the passion of youth but the wisdom of age.
About the Songwriter
I am twenty-one and I have been attempting to write songs since I was almost seventeen. I would say I have progressed in my quality of writing, but in no way have I been ambitious in my efforts or aspiring to achieve anything with my music. Songwriting has been more of a way to express what is inside of me.
