This song is written from the point of view of someone who is struggling to find out what truly makes them happy. They are unsure if the relationship that they are in makes them extremely happy and is "meant to be" or makes them absolutely miserable. Or maybe they are happy but they just aren't sure of it yet. Who knows.

Brian McGuirk was born in Illinois but has lived in Colorado for the last 12 years. He's been writing songs since he received his first guitar early in high school. He is inspired by Bob Dylan, John Prine, Neil Young, Jeff Tweedy, Conor Oberst, Ryan Adams, McCartney/Lennon, George Harrison, Jagger/Richards, Tom Marshall, Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, Taj Mahal, Eddie Vedder, Mark Knopfler, The Band, M. Ward, Kurt Cobain and the list goes on and on.....
