Brian McGuirk was born in Illinois but has lived in Colorado for the last 12 years. He's been writing songs since he received his first guitar early in high school. He is inspired by Bob Dylan, John Prine, Neil Young, Jeff Tweedy, Conor Oberst, Ryan Adams, McCartney/Lennon, George Harrison, Jagger/Richards, Tom Marshall, Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, Taj Mahal, Eddie Vedder, Mark Knopfler, The Band, M. Ward, Kurt Cobain and the list goes on and on.....
