Performed in Springfield, MO at Songpull 4
About the Song
Alone with the camera, Oran interviews himself about his latest song. In his lyrics he explains the bliss of togetherness and brings it home with a joyful chorus from our childhood. Having two full months to write his song, he waited, of course, until the day of the songpull to complete it, confessing he thinks "too much" and thinks his song is just "alright". We definitely disagree. What do you think?
About the Songwriter
Oran was born and raised in Stockton Mo. He has spent most of his life forming bands and touring the world. At 14 years old he co-founded Johnny Q Public and later formed Columbia recording artist, Flick. After 7 years and 2 records, Flick disbanded and Oran has since been producing and recording full time at Oranje Studios, a recording studio he owns and operates in Springfield Mo. Have you heard the new Kleenex add, "Let it Out"?...yeah recorded at Oranje studios.

Dec 28, 2007Songpull has had quite a bit of criticism about the 30 day song. There are plenty of people that are up for the challenge, but there are as many that feel like it's rushing and process that shouldn't be rushed. I can understand both sides of that fence, but I will say that I personally watched this song come together on my side porch, minutes before Songpull started. In fact, Oran was saying that he wasn't going to perform this night because of it. When I say come together, I mean that there wasn't even a chorus to speak of....not just tweaking a verse or a phrase....the chorus section was blank at 6:30pm....Oran performed at about 9:00pm. Maybe it's good to be rushed sometimes. This is in my opinion one of the greatest songs on the site.

Jan 04, 2008Good vocal. Good lyrics. I think it would work better with just one guitar.

Jan 05, 2008Definitely one of my favorites. Not that I'm biased to Oran's music, but come on, this one rocks!
